Therapy
Individualized Therapy
At the heart of our practice as therapists and functional nutrition coaches is a commitment to addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. We draw upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support healing from trauma, Logotherapy to help clients discover purpose and meaning, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
Our approach is holistic, recognizing the profound connection between mental and physical well-being. By integrating functional nutrition into our work, we support clients in achieving balance and vitality. Together, we create personalized strategies that honor individual needs, empowering clients to navigate challenges, enhance resilience, and live authentically.
Autism Spectrum Disorder
We specialize in working with adults on the autism spectrum, addressing social and professional challenges while managing co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Together, we develop strategies to navigate communication difficulties, build relationships, and foster career growth, empowering clients to thrive in diverse environments.
Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating
We take a comprehensive approach to treating eating disorders and disordered eating patterns, exploring the underlying nutritional, psychological, and environmental causes. This work often involves addressing related conditions such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or digestive issues. Whether clients struggle with binge eating, restrictive eating, or emotional eating, we focus on rebuilding a healthier relationship with food and body image. By identifying root causes and patterns, we work together to create sustainable habits that promote nourishment, balance, and well-being.
Burnout and Commitment Stress
For individuals experiencing burnout due to overcommitting at work or in family roles, we provide tools to navigate and recover from this overwhelming state. This often includes addressing related challenges such as chronic stress, anxiety, insomnia, and other forms of overcommitment stress. Together, we work on building resilience, setting boundaries, and cultivating self-care practices to achieve sustainable balance and prevent long-term health consequences.
Body Dysmorphic Conditions
We support clients with body dysmorphic conditions by uncovering root causes and addressing co-morbidities such as social anxiety, low self-esteem, or compulsive behaviors. For those considering surgery, we offer pre-surgical counseling to foster self-compassion and set realistic expectations, ensuring decisions align with personal well-being and long-term goals. Our approach helps clients reduce self-injurious behaviors and develop healthier, more positive ways to engage with their bodies.
Anxiety
The different types of anxiety disorders that are most common today can leave an individual constantly overwhelmed, uneasy, and nervous. Although some temporary anxiousness can be considered “normal,” understanding whether a person has an anxiety disorder can make the difference in getting the needed treatment or not.
The term narcissism is used a lot these days to describe someone who is full of themselves. However, narcissism is not self-love. A narcissistic Personality disorder is a personality disorder that can affect the lives of all the people who are in a relationship with a narcissist. It is an inflated self-image that is rooted in intense feelings of insecurity.
